DESCRIPTION
Ennio Morricone is a world cinema legend and has won two Oscars, including one for his life’s work, which has rarely been awarded to composers. In the years before his death, composer Ennio Morricone stated on several occasions that the only director he would consider coming out of retirement for would be Giuseppe Tornatore. Morricone wrote the music for thirteen Tornatore films, and the director asked him to meet at the Morricone’s house in Roma and talk about his work. These recordings formed the starting point for the story of seven decades of work, during which he wrote music to more than five hundred films.

DIRECTOR
— GIUSEPPE TORNATORE (1956), Italian director and screenwriter. At first he worked as a director of plays and documentaries for the television RAI. His film debut was "The Professor" (1986). His next film, "Cinema Paradiso" (1989), won the Oscar for Best Non-English Language Film, the BAFTA Prize, the 42nd MFF in Cannes and the César Award.
