DESCRIPTION
Inexperienced traumas can dominate our lives, even when they begin to work themselves out. Amir is in his forties, professionally successful as a scientist and is planning the wedding with his long-time partner. With the help of his longtime school friend – the director – he decides to come to terms with his dramatic past, to no longer run away from himself. Documentary film – this extraordinary artistic expression helps to preserve the anonymity of the hero who had to flee from war-torn Afghanistan as a child and came to Western Europe via the USSR.

DIRECTOR
— JONAS POHER RASMUSSEN (1981), Danish director and screenwriter. He debuted in 2006 with the acclaimed TV documentary "Something About Halfdan", followed by a series of radio documentaries from around the world. He graduated from the Danish film school Super16 in 2010. His feature film debut "Searching for Bill" (2012) was a mix of documentary and fiction. His first documentary "What He Did" (2015) won the prestigious FIPRESCI Award at the Thessaloniki FF. His new film "Flee", an animated documentary about a close friend, was officially selected for Cannes 2020, won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance and was nominated to Oscar in two categories.
