DESCRIPTION
On the background of the historic turning point – the presidential election in Paris in 1981 – Hers describes the story of Elisabeth, who has just arrived at the turning point of her life. Her marriage is over, and in order to take responsibility for herself and her two growing children, she takes a night job on the radio. During the show she gets to know the free spirit, Talulah and takes care of her. Talulah experiences the warmth of a family home for the first time and instead conveys the spirit of risk-freeness and self-confidence that Elisabeth and her children need right now. Hers celebrates the prose of life and gives trivial moments a poetic dimension.

— MIKHAËL HERS (1975), French screenwriter, director and producer. He graduated Film Production at La Fémis in Paris, then he started producing films as well as directing films himself. His first short film "Charell" (2006) was screened at Cannes. Next, "Montparnasse" (2009) won the SFR Prize at Cannes. His first feature film was "Memory lane" (2010). "This Summer Feeling" (2015) is his second feature. It won the Grand Jury Prize at Bordeaux IFF and was screened at IFF Rotterdam. "The Passengers of the Night" (2022) is his newest feature.
